This reef is surrounded by a number of sandy channels where the current can become quite strong. The reef has good coral, especially fan coral and sponges.
The amount of life can be variable, but keep a look out for sand and Stingrays in the sand channel as you pass it as well as life on the reef such as turtles, Spanish mackerel, Creole wrasse, barracuda and lobsters. In the sand by the reef there are discarded car and boat batteries.
