Based on the exelent Tobago Cays article in Chris Doyle's guide for the Caribbean on Doyle guides and a fantastic guide for the Cays on www.usual-suspects-sailing.com , pictures from SVG Airlines and pictures from Paellaman on pictures.carriacou.biz This is one of the favorite places for sailors to rest after crossing the ocean. It can sometimes get crowded when all boats seek shelter here. For a complete slideshow of the Tobago cays have a look here : Tobago cays slideshow gallery Bright white fine sand, this is a typical picture postcard Caribbean island. This island is very nice for snorkling. The island on the background is Petit Tabac , now allso called Jack Sparrow's Island after they shot the movie Pirates of the Caribbean here. In the movie part of the island was burnt. Lucky the Saint Vincent government made some strict rules reharding the filming here. the islands are absolute pristine and have not suffered from the movie making. Contrary, the making of Pirates of the Caribbean here has added an extra feeling that this part of the Grenadines needs a special attention and protection. They are succeeding quite well at that. This is a wonderfull marine reserve with unspoilt reefs. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
