One of the bars and rumshops on Carriacou is owned by Joe Adams.

He built a simple construction on Paradise Beach, serving its purpose of a no nonsense beach bar.

This is the place where fisherman pass their time when they return from the morning catch. You will see them preparing the fish or sometimes a stew on a fire beside the bar, where they improvised a field kitchen.

Sometimes , specially when the rum has been flowing freely, the weaker amongst us should consider another establishment, but for the adventurous it can be lots of fun here !

Fair prices and a familiar atmosphere.

Run by Joe himself with a little help from his friends. Joe is a retired boxer. Sometimes he organizes boxing matches on the beach.

Have a look at one of those events in this slideshow of a boxing match on Paradise Beach.

Close to the beach is Joe's house where he rents out a few rooms. Shower and bathroom are outside and for communal use. Clean, simple and very familiar atmosphere. Ask Joe for availability at his bar, he's always there. Ah... when you stay as a guest in Joe's house then please take care of my hammock. It's the striped cloth one, and the only one I have left on Carriacou. LOL

Another place for affordable lodging very close to Paradise Beach and just before Joe's House is the Snakepit Apartment.

More north on Paradise Beach you will find the Hardwood Bar which serves some excellent food, a nice variety of drinks and cocktails and always friendly service.
